1. Clean with white vinegar

Pour some vinegar on your hands – vinegar’s chemical properties break up gasoline’s bonds thereby making it easy to clean.

Pour enough white vinegar to entirely cover your fingers as well as palms. After pouring the vinegar, rub your palms together for a minute or two, interlacing your fingers and massaging them all the while. Be sure to reach all the parts of your hands. Then, wash the vinegar off your hands under running water (like under a faucet).

Use soap to ensure the vinegar comes off efficiently, and when you’re done, the smell of vinegar should be gone. Use a towel to dry your hands.

2. Utilize vanilla extract

Pour about 100 ml of water into a cup and add a few vanilla extract drops. If you don’t feel the smell of vanilla extract in the water, feel free to add more drops.

Next, pour some of the mixture over your palms and fingers and rub them together; do this for about a minute or two but don’t stop until the smell of gasoline is almost totally gone.Once you can hardly smell the gasoline on your hands, wash the hands with water and some soap.

Vanilla extract has a nice smell, so don’t scrub your hands very hard; you don’t want to lose it. When you’re done, use a towel to dry your hands.

3. Scrub with lemon juice

Pour identical amounts of water and lemon juice into a cup and use a spoon to blend them into a fine mixture. Pour some of the mixture over your hands and rub them together for about a minute.

The lemon juice works to eliminate the remaining smell of gasoline that wasn’t removed by the previous ingredients. Then, wash your hands under running water, with some soap, and use a towel to dry them once you’re done.

4. Wash with salt and detergent

Pour one to two teaspoons of regular salt into a bowl. Put that aside and pour some dish detergent onto your hands, such that it only covers your hands with a thin film.

This is the final steps and once you’re finished, rinse your hands thoroughly with water to get rid of the salt and detergent. Once you dry your hands with a clean towel, the hands should be entirely free of that annoying gasoline odor.

If, for some reason, there is still some gasoline smell on your hands after going through the procedure, feel free to repeat the process, this time carefully, and using bigger portions of the ingredients.
